Silvercrest Golf Course first opened for play in 1938. The course was renovated in 1976 by Charles Calhoun.
This hilly course features small and elevated greens. All the greens are protected by sand bunkers.
Par for the course is 36. From the back tees, the course plays to 2,880 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 2,502 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 9, a par-5 that plays to 502 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 134 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 360 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 6, a 290 yard par-4.
Residents of Winneshiek County are limited to playing golf (3) times per year. This applies to non-tournament play and Ladies and Men's night. The rule does not include reserved clubhouse events or open and invitational tournaments. Guests outside of Winneshiek County are permitted by Silvercrest Club Members at any time. Non-residents of Winneshiek County are allowed to pay green fees and golf Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
